Starting from this Monday to every Monday it will be missionary Monday with a list of updates on the missions I am going on.
One thing I have noticed googling is that it is hard to find information on preparing for being a missionary unless you are attached to a specific religion, so I hope by doing these mission Mondays it will help those like me who are simply going on missions for Gods glory and am not religious but am only concerned with a relationship with God.
Speaking of missions, I will be partnering with Shelter church, and we will be headed to Uganda and that news was made official about a week ago. Now I have about 3months to get financially, spiritually, physically and mentally prepared for this mission.
The finances require more faith than anything else and I am so blessed to have so many Saints praying for us and me and for those that support me as a missionary already. Physically, I am working out more bettering my diet and mentally preparing for any and all circumstances and being flexible also taking a cpr and first aid class next month to ensure I can help in any way I can.
And then there’s the spiritual preparation the part that matters the most, if this is not done properly nothing else matters. My spirit must grow stronger than ever before, the last time I went to Uganda I never even prayed out loud before, two years later I am a prayer warrior and intercessor, so much has changed for the better but as we grow in Christ so does our light, and it sets off an alarm to the enemy.
This weekend I am gong to Tj again with Unity 4 Orphans and I am super excited. I am super excited to be a part of another one-day mission. I know life in general is a mission and when we wake up to when we sleep we are on mission, you don’t need to go to Africa or even TJ to be on mission. Sometimes it just means helping the poor in your neighborhood, or checking on the widows you know, being a biblical example of a man or woman.
What ever your mission is this year. I hope you are prepared for it. I pray you know what it is first. That you prepare for it and that you stay mission minded, this year. Don’t let the enemy creep into your min or your heart. Only let God and His love for you compel you, and move you. And when you know what that mission is, don’t hesitate to begin.
Just do it with joy, and zeal , humility and peace . In Jesus name.
