Lord

I want to thank you

For waiting patiently

As I daily woke with issues from yesterday

As I fell into sadness through out today

Knowing your peace and joy is only a prayer away

Knowing I couldn’t grow

Unless I let go of this shame

Conquered my fears and overcome with love my hate

And relinquish this pain

I knew all this but still I continued on my own way

And still you waited excitedly , loving and patiently for me

Knowing I would come around eventually

Waited for my heart to change permanently

Waited  for my spirit to seek and follow after thee

Waited for my mind to be stayed on thee

On all the good things

And not my mistakes

And I wish I could take it back all the times I will disobey you

And cause you pain

and bound to , even though I strive to be perfect like you

, I choose to PRAISE you

For each and every time you fought for me when I didn’t know you

Even thought about me

For each and every chance you give after I fall

For all the opportunities I get to show your love at all

And most of all for every ounce of peace and joy I don’t deserve yet you say

I can always receive and keep

I thank you for that incredibly

But most most most of all

Lord for that I first want to Praise you

For all of the waiting
