Love, Love , Love ♥

This post is super late because my Monday was super busy and I just got home from a spoken word night. I know Mondays from now own will focus on Missions in my blog , but first let me say it was a very interesting night and considering the fact that on missions I am supposed to me a light this is relevant to the subject. The spoken word was great, there was a lot of people expressing themselves, giving the finger to the man, being strong , different , what I didn’t really see was LOVE.

Are there any hard poems out there about rainbows and unicorns. About hearts and lollipops, there are still marriages that last, men that pursue women, women that don’t need to have a mans position to feel powerful, women that cover themselves, there are still good Samaritans , and Good Christians, there is still SO MUCH LOVE. But like the red dot on a black canvas, hate becomes more noticeable than love not because it is greater , but because it doesn’t fit in.

And I don’t want it , and neither does the Lord. As missionaries our job is to love harder than ever before. I  believe a true missionary is always flexible and willing to hear from the spirit of the Lord, and go where it commands . And go in Love, it is important for us to know how to love and how to receive love. Because as much as we will be giving love, we will be getting it.

I am so excited for this trip back to Uganda back to what feels like my second home and back to LOVE. Life has changed so much since Uganda but the love has not. And I pray for love to grow more and more in our hearts , that we desire to love more, and it becomes genuine and authentic and organic.

We are not perfect, but if I have come to know one thing as  woman and warrior of God. He answers prayers. I had such a broken and cold heart , I prayed for God ( and I still do ) to break it , my heart even more than it was and to rebuild it, I prayed for Him to fill each and every part and to help me love His people the way that He does , to see them the way that He does.

And He did , He fixed my heart and daily He fills my heart ! And my heart is so full constantly I just feel the urge to share His love and good news to the world. And most of all be a source of light , a candle that will no go out and can not be hid. So when asked again when is my next mission , I will say

“Now.”

How much love fills your heart?
