I’ve lost many friends
Some family too
On this road to you
But you say blessed are the ones who walk away from their families
Away from their homes
Take upon their cross
And so blessed I am
And blessed I be
blessed I stand
With this cross in my hands
Layed upon my back
And some days it is heavier than others
Some seasons are colder some are warmer
But each season has brought me closer to you
I don’t regret lacing up my Chuck’s
And running after you
I wouldn’t go back and change a thing
I don’t look for ways out
I faithfully submit
I stand firm on the choices I have made
No matter the what they say
Despite the hate
And those that call me ignorant
A bum or irrelevant
Telling me since times are changing so should I
I just look them in the eye and smile
And repeat
hebrews 13:8 , my God doesn’t change
He is perfect in every way
And I know when this book was written
You already knew how the earth would form and
You knew each trial and valley we would face
So I will look the enemy in the face and say
no thank you , I dont religion
I won’t change for the masses
I will be the change I wish to see in the masses
I will show the masses what it looks like to
Have the bible be your source of life
I will use it to change for the better
Not to judge your people
I will use it to purify and glorify
Your amazing name
To everyone you place in my face
Even those friends and family
That walked away ❤️💙
