I was asked by a non believer recently , why can’t I just work part time and do missions . The answer is simple and easy to say when talking to believers who understand what a call from the Lord is , and what it means to walk by faith.
But to someone who’s faith is in man made facts , and earthly wisdom how to do you explain yourself when you are currently in debt like a normal 29 year old and single as can be with no source of consistent income ( not because your incapable but because your God called you to be full time Ministry , whether that’s writing or ministering or missions or any other assignments He throws your way).
It went a bit like this , I told Him though He may believe it sounds ignorant . I hear from God , and my God told me , that I am not to work ,on anything but ministry I am to be full committed to the gospel (. My purpose is to be an exhorter, encourager, an educator and to edify His name. And that requires all my effort and time .) And then my debt came up, how it was irresponsible maybe to not pay it. O then was able to testify that this last year I worked hard in ministry and cam through every month always in different ways , and different people but the body of Christ does support me as a missionary not one individual building but the body the spirit of believers. That is why when I do ministry I love to do it with different organizations so we unite as one church , it isn’t about what building I walk into or religion I affiliate with but how hard I rep the gospel how much do I love and obey my God . That matters .

And explaining that to Him, this man my obedience to a God He has never see . He respected it , may not have agreed but just as I couldn’t convince Him that day of the gospel He would not have convinced me that I didn’t hear from the Lord and that Jesus Christ didn’t save my life . All I can do is be the best example And the best example of a believer I can be for Him and anyone else who examines the lives of those in the body is to be as Faithdull to God as possible . So that when that time comes that God may give me an opportunity to bring this person to salvation I have already shared the gospel not just with my mouth but my entire life .

What risky and crazy thing Has God told you to do ? ( If you can’t think of it …then prepare your heart because walks of faith require us to Step out of our comfort zone ). Believe me I had a great job , I liked it too, I had career dreams too. But God had other plans and when I submitted to His will and was willing He blew my mind changed my plans and heart now I desire the life I have and when passion meets purpose that equals peace . And peace is a beautiful thing .
