You are you my help Lord
You are my shield Lord
In my time of need
You are all I need
Even with all this hate I see
I know your love grows inside of me
Even in the violence
And the silence
The ignorance
You provide healing be comfort
Give me the power to speak and provide the words
Your wisdom empowers me
Your knowledge convicts me
Your grace covers me
And humbles me
Your spirit directs me
It is you God whom I seek daily
It is you God whom I aim to please daily
It is how Lord who has never betrayed me
Who has never made a promise you can’t keep
Who has always loved me
Even when I couldn’t love me
