I know I am not perfect
I know I can never hope to be
And even in the mist of my imperfections
You still gave your life for me
You still waiting there patiently
For me to turn away
From all my sin
And all my lusts
All the things that separate us
And even when I walk away
You remain
In the same spot I left
Ready to lay on the love and mercy
When I come back
And even when I get fustrated
Because I don’t understand
And I doubt who you are
Despite who you have been
You remain
Your truth never changes
Your love never runs out
Your mercy fill the corners
Of my heart that others have torn out
You look beyond my shame
You take all the blame
You heal all of the pain
Right here in this place
That I have returned
And you have remained
