My favorite rapper use to be
This boy named andy
He would say He wasn’t cocky
He was confident
And to
me that was relevant
Some people get confused
My devotion to God
As illusion
Others may mistake my faithfulness to the Father
As me being an extreme
Prude and some Bible thumper
But if it’s not broke
Let’s not try to fix it
We’re the broken ones
Not God , He’s perfect in every sense
So to His laws I follow after and try my best
And to His word I follow , with my whole heart in
And encourage you to try it
Dont tell me you’ve done all this too
And God never revealed Himself to you
Chance is , you doubted
You wanted to prove He didn’t exist
Your heart wasn’t aching to feel His presence
Your hand wasn’t shaking to touch His garment
The myth is
He hears every prayer
The myth is
Prayers don’t work
The truth is He here’s the prayers of the righteous
The truth is
He hears the prayers of the pure
Not the perfect
Not the religious
Not the sunday church perfect attendance
Not those who call themselves
Christians
Not the pope
Not the Pastor’s
Not the Nuns
Not the Ministers
Not the Deacons
Not the Bishops
Those are titles
they don’t give you direct access
Only God decides it
But I can tell you from experience
He hears us best
When we are broken
When we are desperate
Because it is in that moment
We emptied ourselves and have come to be
Righteous and pure and humbly at His feet
We are honest
We are committed
And willing
To learn
Wanting to see
And HOPING
To catch a glimpse of the glory
Of the Holy One
And be filled with His
Agape , eternal, unlimited
Unending ,
Love
So my favorite writer is
God almighty
Who wrote this love story to me
He hasn’t finished it yet
Hes still got some chapters to go
But my favorite part
Is when He saved my soul
