I thought about you today
Not enough to call you
Not enough to accidently run into you at bible study
Not enough to write a song
Or send a text
But enough to write this poem
And thank God for His intervention
And thank God for His perfect timing
For His answered prayers
For His abundant grace
For His borders of protection
For my purpose
For my focus
For this moment
When I thought of you
And instead of dwelling
On what could never be
On what happened between you and me
I was thankful for that season
And for this present understanding
What where I had to go
You were not called to
And where you are called
I can not go with you
But I support you
And ill pray for you
And I’ll think about you
Some day, like today
But I’ll also smile
And keeping walking along the way
