I am not a MISSIONARY by Diana Marie đź’ś

I am not a MISSIONARY.

So I found out today I am not a missionary.

Sunday was a good day. It was mission Sunday at my church, and God confirmed one of my next missions. I am not fully saying where yet until some things are finalized. But it’s a big mission. Big for me anyways because it calls me to step outside of every box and comfort zone that I have.

But I am willing and God is able.

Listening to the Preacher a few things came to my heart. One is that many are uneducated on what a Missionary lifestyle really is. Though God calls us to be present wherever we are, the truth is, some He calls to dedicate their life to travel and love and equip and strengthen His beloveds around the world, you can call them MISSIONARIES, you can call them EVANGELISTS, and you can even call them GOSPELERS according to the Webster’s dictionary.

But titles don’t matter. What matters is their purpose, their walk, and the fruits they bear is that fruit, that they feed God’s people of good quality. Are the people they feed in peace and joy and hope, or are they still struggling and anxious and lack of faith. The amount of ministries one is in is quantity not quality. How often one is volunteering for the church is not what Jesus looks for. But have you done the will of the Father, do you seek the will of the Father, would you be able to hear it if He whispered it in your ear?

And do you follow it? Or are you following (even though it is good intentions most times) the will of the church organization you attend? Are you filling a need or are you in that place of the body of Christ you belong?

These are questions I am putting on this blog because I don’t feel people really stress on them Pastors briefly address them, it is our responsibility individually to know which path God wants us on. If we are following the light God shines in our life then we will naturally be aligned with the kingdom of Christ.

Believe me I’ve been all up in the church , there every day , in multiple ministries , with multiple titles yet my peace has never been as strong as when I let the titles go and just humbly daily sought the will of the Father .

NO, not everyone is called to live the life I live, (that countless others live and have lived much longer, and more efficiently than I.) But those that are, are always told to be PRIESTS OR NUNS, or PASTORS, OR FULL TIME, LONG-TERM MISSIONARIES. Even if someone heard this call, how could they execute it? How could they be supported by the church organization? Most of the time they are not. They are often sent to outside resources that always have ultimatums. Which I noticed , being I have been in this situation only put me in a position to strengthen my faith. I was like a diamond being pressed, God will always use all pain and struggles to bless us and so He has for me.

There are young missionaries in church I know who want to attend a MISSIONS training school; they can’t get the money given at church on education day for Thanksgiving because it is not a university? Supporting our young adults in their purpose to become missionaries for the gospel should be a priority over college grads if we really want to live according to the scripture, even on this mission Sunday, it would be step of faith for the churches to come together and gather the tithes for the church and give it to the missionaries, or even the those young missionaries and send them to training.

AND THAT IS WHY as Missionary, Evangelist or GOSPELERS , you don’t limit yourself to one church organization , but make yourself available to the ENTIRE body of Christ , because it is the hearts , the spiritual church , that Will provide for you, send for you ,send you, and love on you. Most church organizations have church agendas (some according to Gods will and some not). Know with God having dominion in your life you are worthy of your meat, don’t be disappointed when and if your so called “home” church does not support missionaries or the mission God has called you to, the way you would hope them to, if they have other priorities, GOD STILL HAS A PLAN through them .He has a plan for them, so you press on shake your sandals (spiritually). And move on in peace.

This rant is not to put down churches , or to say not to have a home church , I do not recommend going rogue, FELLOWSHIP IS IMPORTANT , First with the Lord , then with the church , this is not to shed any negative light but a light , overall.

I know I needed this encouragement and so I am passing this on. To those who feel called but don’t see the resources, YOU ONLY NEED ONE SOURCE, the Lord, our Great God, our Savior Christ our king. He provides all things. He truly has for me with the help of the GREATER body of Christ and those in my family and community.

Like Peter if we keep our eyes on Jesus we will stay walking on that water in great faith, but when we take them off of Christ when we begin to worry about the waves and the wind, OR the ones left in the boat watching us AND SAYING THINGS like, really smalls? You think you can walk on water? You can’t leave the church? We need you on that right side with the paddle Peter! Are you sure that’s Christ?

Keep walking, keep your head up and follow that light.

OVER ALL…….

Most importantly, I am a child of God, a woman of God, a warrior of the gospel. I use my talents and gifts and life to preach, teach the word of God and encourage those in the faith to keep up the good fight. God sends me to strengthen His beloved and to love them as His heart desires. I am to love the saved and the unsaved with no judgment of persons. I am to usher the lost, feed the poor, visit the widows, love the orphans and do whatever He requires of me in joy. With NO WORRIES. Because He has brought me through waters, moved my mountains, healed my iniquities time and time again. Our God does not fail, cannot fail and will not fail. I dedicated my life to spreading that Truth, so to bottle it up, in one simple word as a missionary, is not enough.

I AM NOT A MISSIONARY. I am so much more.

Check out my next post for scriptures that I encourage all believers in Christ, should know BUT especially Missionaries/Gospelers/Evangelists J
