¹² If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more?

Though often times we hear this scripture used for support for the Pastors and Nuns and Priests. This scripture can also be extended to missionaries , evangelists and gospelers. Who spend their entire lives to also preaching the gospel and teaching the gospel. Around the world and in their own communities. Being on mission is an every day decision , you don’t need to change locations to be on mission and preach the gospel. And though I believe all believers have a responsibility to share their faith according to the will of God. Some have called to devote their entire lives to that sole purpose , while others God has called to have other jobs , because His truth needs to reach everywhere, therefore He send us and call us to different positions. Another focus on verse 18, the gospel should be free of charge. I am not a big fan of paying to go to conferences to hear the word of God I have free access to any day. I admire churches who freely give resources to Saints. We as missionaries should always trust God to provide the way , the means , and the resources for our mission. It wont be luxury most times, but all of our needs will be met.

Rejection in life is inevitable, it will happen, by those we know and those we don’t know. We will experience in the church and outside of the church. Keeping this scripture on your heart and the back of you mind and spirit will encourage you to be brave and keep trucking. Though often you hear not judge people, the truth is we are called not to PREJUDGE people , but the spirit and the fruit of a man it is something we must use our judgment on . When you go on mission God will direct you to where to go and who will be on your team. Sometimes that team will change, but God never will if you follow Him He will surround you with a community that will support and encourage wherever you are and Gods peace will be with you and those you are with , that peace and love and light that is in you is the proof people will see that God resides in you and you are a messenger and ambassador for Him.

¹⁶ A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

We are all called to a particular part of the body of Christ, with that position also comes gifts and talents. These are what we will utilize the most on mission. Some are teachers, some are preachers, some evangelists, recently I served on a mission with those who had musical talents and it was wonderful to see them lead worship , I myself am a writer, I am an encourager and a teacher, no matter where I am I use these gifts and they have brought me around the world and on some wonderful adventures with Christ ! Giving God the glory ! Even if where you attend church doesn’t have your particular passion or gift continue to use them , seek other ways to serve in the community do not tie yourself to one particular church organization , the spirit will lead you! And you will know if it is the right move because Gods moves always bring peace.

Beloved, it is only human to worry , to be anxious to be nervous. But we are not called as believers to embrace our humanity , but to embrace Gods glory and live a life that is holy. Doubt, to me is a lust I deal with every day doubt in my ability to give God glory, I don’t doubt God I doubt that I am good enough for Him and to live this life He has called me and this scripture is important to have on our hearts to know God knows our needs , He knows , what we need no matter where we go ! If He calls us , He will provide, sometimes in unconventional ways , but we will always have what we need and then some.

I often hear the churches talk about the “Great Commission” or “Great Commandment” They typically refer to Matthew but I like this one in Mark, because it emphasizes on a few things, how we should walk, we should cast out devils, we will take up serpents, we will be poisoned, but we will still prevail, we are to heal the sick and be okay! And that there will be signs to confirm that we are doing these things. It holds us accountable as a church , as a person , are we healing people, not just physically but spiritually are we healing people, does the fruit that we bear , when ate by others help nurture them ? Fruit isn’t the amount of people in your church, it isn’t about the amount of people who tithe, it isn’t about attendance in ministry, it is the heart, how many of us can say we are ZEALOUS for the Lord. How many of us can name someone ZEALOUS for the Lord, that we can be like Philip was in Acts, and be taken away by the Lord in a second and placed on a wild ride just to bring the truth to someone, with no fear of the language barrier, no fear of the pain and the stretching and being out of our comfort zone.
