Mission Minded Monday (3)

Well , this is my 3rd Mission-Minded Monday Post. And my 3rd week here in Spain. It has been quite an adventure . Last week I got a break from only Spanish, I had spent my first 2 weeks in San Fernando , where I am teaching and my last week I headed to Sevilla for training and for rest and found refuge in the gathering of teachers for a week it was nice to be around English speakers and to get much needed information and encouragement . Also it was nice to eat. The first week I found out Spain loves PORK. THE second week I was incredibly sick and really did not eat much. Sevilla had many restaurants for just about any type of craving and also an equivalent to door dash ! So it was a blessing to finally eat well SOMETHING other than Burger King lol also being able to see a flamenco show was interesting I’ll write more about that another time when I’m more settled BUT I ALSO GOT TO VISIT THE AQUARIUM. AND those who know me know I love Aquariums , and I can honestly say Sevilla has one of my favorites. Exotic sea life , wonderful theme and decor , English translations and at an affordable price . I would definitely come again and recommend it♥️.
The great thing about Spain is eating healthy here is SOOO affordable.Due to the conditions of my hostel I didn’t feel comfortable bringing fruit and veggies in the room but now I have my own shelf in a fridge yay ! And I can buy all the fruit I want (well afford ) lol It is eating out that can add up. I wanted to stick to mostly fruits and veggies for my immune system anyways and that seems to be the most budget friendly way to survive here too. So I’m super excited about that.
Walking is the preferred means of transportation . If something is 30 minutes walking that’s normal anything under is really considered close. It’s a different lifestyle than hopping into my Nissan Murano and driving down the street to 711.
And I am so grateful for this journey God has me on , the stretching and the pulling has already begun. I’ve never been out of the country by myself this long before. The biggest struggle is missing family and certain personal events that I’ll miss because of the mission.
But I’ll never want to miss being in the center of God’s will. God has allowed me to meet so many beautiful amazing people He has given me confidence in His protection and peace and Faith in His provision.
God always sends in 2s as well , last week I was able to fellowship with a fellow believer in the same journey we prayed and encouraged each other it was wonderful to get that fellowship before coming back to San Fernando and now I am excited for tomorrow to meet those students and faculty and let God shine through me and on me. In Jesus name ! Amina ! ☺️♥️
