It is not the money it is the fulfilment of a need or want that we truly seek as individuals or communities.
Most times it is money that will help with this fulfilment but a need and want can be fulfilled without money ever entering our bank account or hands .
This is where the heart comes in and faith on both sides. As a giver we must have the heart to give and provide and as a receiver we must have the heart to receive with humility and faith to receive something that isn’t monetary but can fulfill that need or desire. ( It may not be exactly how we imagined but it will be how God envisioned it.)
Let us look above the coin , let us give our hearts to the Lord because as a child of God a warrior of God a servant of God , we will be on both sides of the heart , both as the giver and the receiver. It is love at it’s fullest in circulation. Such as with the Lord , we gave our hearts for Him and He gave us salvation. We are all givers and takers. Tithes in the Bible was never just a monetary thing it wasn’t for the purpose of reaching a monetary goal. It was simply to fulfill the needs , and sometimes maybe wants of the church.
No one , especially those in Christ should be in need , due to the lack of the heart. So I pray for us all that our hearts grow to love at it’s fullest and fulfil a need or desire of a brother or sister or someone in the world , according to the spirit whether it is giving a shirt from our back, an apple from our yard or a dollar from our wallet. It belongs to the Lord anyways and in the end the true riches can not be held in our hands but our hearts.
