I am hungry Father
To be filled by that bread
That will never leave me hungry again
I am thirsty Lord
For that drink of that cup
That will never leave me to thirst again
I’ve been running Lord
Down that narrow road
Running Lord
To lose this race I can’t afford
Now that I know
And have tasted your truth
The lies are no longer sweet to me
They no longer sustain me
But your truth is healing for me
It comforts me
It comes inside cleans me and
Changes me
Every time that I take upon
Your precepts and eat
So Father please
Do not withhold your meat from me
I come humbly as a child
Even willing and eager
to eat the crumbs that fall
From thee
For
I am hungry Father
To be filled by that bread
