James 1:26 KJV — If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.đź–¤
Every night
I lay in my bed
Thinking of the words
I said
I don’t make time for regrets
For they don’t make a difference
But I pray
I pray for the next day
To have faith
To say
The things you call me to say
To be brave enough
To be silent
And pray
When I want to speak
I pray for humility
And the mercy
To be kind
And the kind of servant
You have called me to be
I pray for discernment
To know what to say
And what to hold in
I pray for control
Over my thoughts
And my tongue
For I know I could do better
Although I know what’s done is done
Let your will be done in my life
That’s what I pray for
Every night
As
I lay in my bed
Thinking of the words
I said
I don’t make time for regrets
For they don’t make a difference
But I pray
I pray for the next day
Faithfully
