I have no confidence
In my own self
In my power
In my wisdom
But in your word
In your Son
Oh Father in heaven
I place my confidence upon
Your truth
Your glory
Your will
For my story
For I am eager for your rebuke
I find assurance
In your chastisement
For as you break me
You build me
And make me perfect again
Let me be zealous , then
And repent
For the times
I let my own wisdom
And my flesh cause me to sin
I was once blind
But you gave me sight
I once was dead
But you brought me to life
Was once accustomed to the dark
But now I find joy & peace in‡ the light
And now I can be brave
Enough to shine
For it is not my pride
That makes me brave
And courageous to proclaim
