All the words of my mouth are in righteousness;
there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
Wouldn’t I love to say this
And it be honest
But the truth is I’m human
And I’ve given into my flesh
I pray my speech
To be words so holy and sweet
That dung does not fall
From them when I speak
I pray my thoughts are not preverse
To cause my lips to curse
That I stay in the word
And with my tongue
Never again cause hurt
For out of our mouth we praise
The Most High
Then talk about the people
In our life
This is not what I want for my life
Nor my tongue
I know I can’t control it
Not with my own will
And strength
But I know with The Father in heaven
Anything can happen
And this tongue of fire
Can warm the people
Not burn them
Can cut off demons
Not cut wounds for them to sneak in
So that one day when I speak
It will be holy and sweet
With no dung falling when I speak
So that when my words
Get to Thee oh Lord
They please you my Most High God
And you will welcome me
And say Good job my servant
Come into my kingdom
Where all is perfect
And I can be honest
When I say ,
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness;
there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
Wouldn’t I love to say this
And it be honest
But the truth is I’m human
And I’ve given into my flesh
But with the last of my breath
Let me deny my flesh
And choose righteousness
When every word I speak
With every thought I think
