Father in heaven
Help me hold my peace
Be silent and full of mercy
A pillar of understanding
Let me not be
Void of wisdom
Let me not hate them
The ones who offend me
The ones who attack me
The enemy plotting against me
The ones who betray me
The ones who neglect me
Let me not give the strength to the enemy
Let me not despise
My neighbor
Or my enemy
Whether I have a reason
Or for none at all
Let me never hate
Not despise anyone at all
But give love
Give truth
Be kind
Do what Christ would do ,
And
hold my peace
Be silent
and full of mercy
Like you
