Exodus 20:11 KJV — For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.



Love this day 

Where I can lay

Up 

And rest up 

My trials and 

Tribulations 

May not let up 

But neither 

Does the Most High God 

Who stays up 

And knows 

That 

Obedience 

Is better than sacrifice 

And that just by resting on this day 

It can change my life 

Puting into perspective 

My heart and mind 

For Sabbath 

Is more 

Than a day 

It is a promise 

A commandment 

A covenant 

It is light 

For all those 

Who choose to 

It for what it is 

We look forward to this day 

Like the world 

Looks forward to Christmas 

But we get to celebrate 

Every week 

This beautiful day 

That keeps us meek 

That keeps us humble 

For everyday 

The Most High 

Is available

But Sabbath 

Is the day 

That sets us apart 

Heaven and earth on one accord

Resting this day 

With The Most High God 

That’s why I can’t but
