The Lord is my shepherd 

I shall not want 

He has me covered 

From the back 

And in the front 

And even as 

My enemies 

Surround me 

And I face 

Trials 

Infirmities

Battles of the flesh 

Overcoming inequities

I know if I trust in 

The Most High God 

In this life 

And the next

I shall never want 

Because all I need 

Is all I have 

When I lay my head down 

At night 

Even in pain 

I can wake up in joy 

Because my peace 

That’s within

Me 

Isn’t circumstancial

It is Eternal 

It is given 

Through my obedience 

To The Most High God 

Through my faith

In His perfect Son

And by listening

To the Holy Spirit 

A gift 

That I don’t deserve 

A gift that brings me comfort 

And light in a dark dark world 

But I have no fear, for 

The Lord is my shepherd 

I shall not want 

He has me covered 

From the back 

And in the front 

And even as 

My enemies
