1 John 2:15 KJV — Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.💙



Oh Father in heaven 

My heart is big 

But there is no room in it 

For loving the world 

Or anything in it 

For you said 

Of a lover of this world 

Has no love of you in him 

And my heart is full 

With love for you 

Filled to the rim 

Precept upon precept 

With your truth 

Your correction 

Your rebuke 

Your chastisement 

And comfort too

Takes residence 

Where wickedness once lived 

But there is no more remnant 

Of desires of the flesh 

For Father in heaven 

My heart is big 

But there is no room in it 

For loving the world 

Or anything in it 

For you said 

Of a lover of this world 

Has no love of you in him 

Please Father let me not 

Be counted with them 

Who do not have your love 

But in my heart take residence 

For you take precedent

In my life 

On earth 

And in heaven
