Father in heaven 

Please 

Teach me 

To control

The spirit within me 

Christ teach me 

To have peace 

Especially 

When chaos surrounds me 

Holy Spirit 

Teach me 

To be obedient 

Especially when I don’t understand

The commandment 

Let my faith not be shaken 

Let me aim for perfection 

With a spirit of humility  kindness 

For I want to be the city

That is fortified 

And strong 

Let me not be like the city 

That is broken down 

And without walls 

Let me build my walls 

Precept upon precept 

Most High God 

Using the scriptures

As a weapon

To defeat those who dare 

To try to get within this temple 

That belongs to you 

My Most High God 

Please teach me to war

And give me peace 

For I know the true fight is 

Against principalities

Still, I pray fervently without cease
