Ecclesiasticus 20:18 Poem ðŸ’•

Ecclesiasticus 20:18

[18]To slip upon a pavement is better than to slip with the tongue: so the fall of the wicked shall come speedily.💕

Oh Most High

You said , a thief is better

Than a man who lies

Better to be poor and humble

Than rich and unwise

If I can not through prayer

Overcome an offense and be silent

Then let me rebuke with kindness

For it says in your word

That is not good to be angry secretly

And he that confesseth his fault

Shall be preserved for hurt

And that we will escape wilful sin

If when rebuked we show repentance

And that is why

I keep repentance on my mind ,

And I repent for the times

I’ve slipped with my lips

Though good was my intention

The results were many offenses

Please

Help me Most High.

To keep my tongue

So I can keep my life

Give me discernment

To hold it in until it is my time

To speak or sing  , or pray or write

Whatever purpose  you give me

To lift your glory up High ,

If I dont have the answer

I won’t offer an opinion

If I have the answer ,

Please give me the confidence

To say it , boldly and firmly

But softly and kind

With short but fervent words

That paint a spiritual light

For I know to slip with my lips

It is better for me to slip on  pavement

For speedy is the fall

Of the wicked

But slow and patient

Is the walk of the righteous

For it is better for us to be patient

In seeking The Most High

Than to live a life without a guide

So please Father in heaven

Send down your guide

Let her teach me in all things

Let Christ , Yashaya be my light

That fills up my mind

For you said better is a man that hideth  his folly

Than to hide this wisdom within me

Please give me the courage

To act with wisdom

In all things

I praise you for all things

Even  financially

To not have the freedom to sin willfully

I would rather live in this poverty ,

than

To live a lie and be wealthy

If you bless me with much

May I be wise in it

If you bless me with little

May I be wise in it

For you say ,

a thief is better

Than a man who lies

Better to be poor and humble

Than rich and unwise

But I stay rich in your precepts

Stacking treasures up high ,

Praying to be wise , please

Help me Most High.

To keep my tongue

So I can keep my life

For I know to slip with my lips

It is better for me to slip on  pavement

For speedy is the fall

Of the wicked

But slow and patient

Is the walk of the righteous

Faithfully
