Remember me (The one I want to be) Poetry Devotional (Day 1 ) Psalm 49:3

Remember me (The one I want to be) Poetry Devotional (Day 1 ) Psalm 49:3

Psalm 49:3

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

Daily I come in the spirit of repentance

Through  prayers and praises

Hoping in that book of remembrance

You remember me

As the daughter of a great king

Who gave all that she had even though it wasn’t much

The one who walked by faith charity  and Your love

The one who failed epically

but rose up with humility

From every trial  and tribulation learning not to repeat her folly

Please remember me as the servant who served You  cheerfully

Not grudgingly or out of necessity

Not as a murmurer or murderer

But as an encourager and nurturer

Not as a backbiter

But as prayer warrior

A supporter

Not as a complainer

But as a problem solver

A helper

A teacher of good things

Chaste sober, holy

Discreet

Not given to too much wine

Who loved her husband, her parents

Her children,

Submitting to the head she was given

Finding satisfaction

In her role as a godly woman

And praying daily to be forgiven

From all ignorant , presumptous, sin

Praying none is ever done with intent

While also forgiving those who hurt me with ease

The one who is quick to listen and slow to speak

The one who delighted in your laws

And  your Commandments she did keep

And fed and clothed her enemies

Growing in the areas I am weak

And the areas I am strong strengthening

Helping the widow, orphans poor and elderly

Not being Idle,

But working zealously

To build up the kingdom of heaven

And be a light to who I see

Because I want to be

The one who placed all  her trust in you

Especially when she didn’t know what to do

The one who feared you and only you

Reverently and terribly

The one who remembered the law of Moses the statutes and judgments

And like treasure she held on to them

The one that walked through the fire asking to be purified asking to be refined knowing that you wouldn’t leave her side

The one praying to be purged knowing it will hurt

but knowing the pain is worth the gain in your son’s name

The one who did pray

Before anything she did say

Keeping the intrusive thoughts at bay

Because in Your word , her heart  did stay

And on her tongue was the law of truth

And kindness

And the Meditation of her heart poured out understanding

Walking in Your peace and goodness

Lighting up the darkness

With the gifts she posseses

With every poem

Every psalm

Every word I have written

Every talent You give to me

Let me glorify You with them

Not burrying them

But use them to slay the demons

And comfort Your Beloveds

Oh Father please

Be pleased with me

And if You aren’t please

Be honest with me

Show me my iniquity

Through You Son

And with The Holy Spirit

Refine me

Purify me

I know what I am asking

The narrow way  is not for the weak

I also know what will happen

If I stay unclean

Ahba, Only You know if I am ready

But I am willing

To be all that You have called me to be

So to You I bring ALL OF ME

HOLDING NOTHING BACK FROM THEE

My tithe and my offering

The very best of me

With Your word cutting off the worst of me

So I can be through Christ

A perfect daily offering

For in You is my safety

My help

My protection

My provision

You will pour out the blessing

So big , I will not have room enough in my heart to receive it

And I know this because I am asking for this

I am preparing for this

By first coming to You in the spirit of repentance

Through my prayers and praises

For Israel has returned unto You Father

Our name , our history

All that You have done for our ancestors

All that You have done for us

We have remembered

One by one we are claiming our identities

And these generational curses we are breaking

As we submit To You, our great King

Praying,

You will remember us

Faithfully
