This year I want to sing moreĀ
This year I want to dream more
This year I want to travel moreĀ
This year I want to praise God moreĀ
This year I want read the bible moreĀ
Share my testimony moreĀ
Love moreĀ
Give moreĀ
Do more good , pray against more evilĀ
And I want to sin lessĀ
Be happy , never angryĀ Ā
I want to never even taste an ounce of bitternessĀ
I want to be satisfied with all my yesterday’sĀ
I want my mind to be filled with hope and no doubtĀ
with my feet planted in peace I willĀ
Stare all my fears and trials in the faceĀ
And be confident God has given me every ounce of bravery and courage and strength and humility to not just walk through this lifeĀ
But to walk joyfully with a smileĀ
I want to see each day as an adventureĀ
And opportunity from the LordĀ
I want to be the gospel not just read the gospelĀ
I want to be meĀ
I want to be freeĀ
I don’t want to be easily offended
Fear rejection or think of myself less or more than the next person
I want to be excitedĀ
And most of all I want to be faithfullĀ
To every purpose He places in my heartĀ
every assignment He assigns me to
and person I get the pleasure of growingĀ with in all my relationships
Especially HimĀ
The ever consistent faithfulĀ
God
Who never changesĀ
But is always changing meĀ
For the betterĀ
