Today was a great day. Though this year has proven to be the hardest year for faith. It is also the best year yet because God is clearly working in my life and blowing my mind with His plans and surprises unlike before. One of those surprises is when God called me to return to Uganda. I am excited for this journey. And for the adventure this weekend which is to TJ on a one-day mission to an orphanage It is a blessing and a privilege for me to go on missions and I am grateful God has called me to this life.
Today God has given so much hope while we were blessed with a financial blessing for our mission and just the encouragement prayerfully we already have is such a blessing. I love to see the community of Christ support each other and it means so much to me when someone supports missions. As full-time missionaries and those who do full time ministry, its not that we don’t want to work, its more that we are compelled and called to devote our entire lives to serving Gods people and ministry in this world. And that is my life. I feel compelled and called to devote my life faithfully to Gods people those who have not yet known Him, but most especially those who know Him and need encouragement support and prayer. The scripture He gave me for this is Galatians 6:9-10 “9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” It is a duty I feel I have to preach the gospel, love Gods people and do as much good as I can , according to Gods will , grace, glory and resources while I have the opportunity to do so.
I praise God for His peace and His joy that fills me especially on the days that I may be growing weary and I pray constantly for that same peace and joy to fill His beloveds. For His beloveds to seek that love, peace and joy that comes freely upon salvation and the request of it. And I praise God for the opportunities He provides to do good to anyone, the unsaved and the saved, but especially those who are walking each day in faith and running the race and need encouragement and prayer just as much as anyone else.
We all need prayer. Prayer is not a charity given to someone you pity, it is not something you do because you think someone is less than you, it is not a chore, it is not a grievance to me it is a burden but it is a light one for me, it is a privilege, it is an opportunity, it is a resource and a power that not all people have access to and so I am excited when I pray, I am humbled when I pray, I take it seriously and I delight in it. And so, as we return to the country where I had seen prayer fervently and passionately like I have never seen it before. (Uganda). I know I will be forever changed again, and if I will be changed then the world will be changed and the domino effect begins. ♥
I wrote a couple of pieces of writing but it only seems fitting to post the one about Uganda 😊
