The blog will be short tonight. The poem I wrote today is for all of those hurting and struggling, (even though it says daughter), it can be applied to men as well. There are times in our lives when your calling, purpose and/or assignments can be a bit much for us to bear. If we are honest with ourselves, it is a day by day spiritual check.

       That is why in the bible it says to pick up our cross daily. (Luke 9:23). Even Jesus was overwhelmed by His purpose and calling when He cries out to the Lord in (Mark 14:36) as He prays “And He was saying, “Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.”. If Jesus felt this way. Let us not think its weird or get discouraged when we too begin to feel this way towards our purposes, callings and assignments. But as Jesus released His feelings towards the Father, He picked up the cross of faith and said, either way He would pursue the will of the Father.

    So, I wanted those of you tonight who may be feeling like this, a bit weary, maybe feeling like you have lost a bit of mojo, or the challenge you are facing you feel like you can’t endure. Beloved you can, and any pain you feel, any shame you have felt, cast it upon the Lord, and take up that cross of forgiveness and strength. Jesus already said He would carry the load of our sin for us when He died upon that cross. He died so that we could be free, free to be forgiven and free to be loved by our mighty amazing Abba Father. So tonight, who ever you are, lay those pains, and burdens and anxieties down and take upon your cross, and cry along with me tonight as we both lift up our hearts and say “Abba Father”
