Day 17: Spoken Word: Truth Or Lie – By Dayanah Ahmawanah  ♥

 

They say the truth hurts 

It hurts to tell it 

At times it hurts to receive it 

Well I say (for those in the world) lies are comforting 

That can be the only explanation of why people can  lie so much

and tell the truth so seldom

People lie to others to keep them from hurting 

Lie to themselves to keep themselves from breaking 

But I would rather break in honesty 

Then have a fake peace in betrayal

I would rather be cut by the truth 

Then be hugged by deception 

Because I don’t want the enemy to grow inside of me , because that sort of growth will eat away at me 

Until there is no hope 

No love , no peace, no joy , no trust  and no light or life left 

I would rather be cut by the sword of truth and be healed by the comfort of the holy spirit 

Because if pain doesn’t kill you 

It will make you stronger 

And not only stronger 

But wiser , and not just wiser but kinder , and not just kinder but tougher and not just tougher but gentler and not just gentler but righteous , and good, and merciful and compassionate , and humble 

And all the attributes of our redeemer Christ and Father in heaven ,  who is magnificent

That’s the truth in everyone us 

We are a reflection of His perfection 

And we can either cover it up with  lies 

Or be free in love and truth

                                               we can either embrace our perfection 

                                                 and live according to the commandments 

                                             or die living according to our desires of the flesh 

                                               I choose to use my liberty to love according to the                                                                             will  of the Father in heaven …………..

    I’m no longer sure where you’re getting your information, however good topic. I must spend some time learning much more or figuring out more. Thanks for wonderful info I used to be searching for this info for my mission.

      I get my information from the bible . Interesting I didnt see this until now. I am redoing my website , but I try to pray for a biblical perspective if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to provide precepts I know it is years later. But we are always growing in Christ !

    You actually make it seem really easy with your presentation however I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and extremely wide for me. I am taking a look ahead for your subsequent put up, I will try to get the dangle of it!

      🙂 Alex all we can do is try ! And thank you for your kind words, it is not always easy but it is simple and often the right thing to do is not the easy thing to do . What about it do you think you may not ever understand ? Do you read the bible ?

      Hi Jenna ! Thanks so much for your kind words. I want to reply the best I can to your questions can you explain what you believe the bottom line is and , when you describe supply are you referring to the source of God as the supplier ? If so then I am positive. But if I understood that incorrectly please do let me know !
