I love opportunities. I love adventures, I love the journey of life. And even when I didn’t consult the holy spirit to guide me I always went by a gut I don’t regret my choices. I don’t tend to live a life on regrets. I haven’t always been the best person, but I have always been me.  I like to compare myself to a caterpillar climbing the tree in life, and today I learned something great about caterpillars that they move around on their gut. Just like I use my gut before being a believer in Christ it was my fleshy gut, but now I use my spiritual gut , and with the spiritual gut I climbed up the tree of life. And then I was ready to use all my strength I wrapped myself in the word , scripture by scripture and experienced that transformation process. And as the caterpillar must use its own strength to push through the cocoon. I had to pray for courage and bravery and strength and assurance to do just that this year. To break through. I learned long ago that butterflies must use their own strength to push though the cocoon , no one can do it for them. It takes time for us as believers to understand we cant truly thrive without standing on our own faith. We cant use TD Jakes , Beth Moore, our parents, spouse,  or even our own local Bishop . We must build our own faith and relationship with Christ to get the strength that we need to fly. And when we do . We are not done yet there is still so much more ahead for us once we get through that layer of doubt, and fear , and any hinderances.

And I  still have so much to learn, I have never had a view like this from the sky.  As a caterpillar we are used to the ground view but when I had the courage to push through the cocoon I was transformed into a butterfly with a purpose and assignment. As a caterpillar it was inevitable for me to fly but first I had to crawl. But now with this new view , this new sense of hope and faith , and direction I and those who have experienced this same metamophosis can accomplish any and all things with the Lord by our side.

So, for all of those that are still climbing that tree those that are still praying for that courage and strength and bravery to push and break free. Hold on. Flying is inevitable, but so is the crawl ,  you will get your wings in time, keep the faith and smile. And ask yourself tonight ! Which gut am I using ?
