Day 27: Spoken Word: Holy Spirit (conduit): By Diana M Jordan ♥

 

I had to let you go

Not because you were a horrible person 

Not because you beat me or bruised me or gave me scars 

Not because I couldn’t stand you 

Not because I don’t see God in you 

But because our roads at one time were aligned have now begun to  turn 

Mine is straight and very narrow 

And yours has become a curve 

So our views of our passions and pursuits are no longer the same 

Our relationship has changed  ,

With your mouth you once encouraged and influenced me 

Now your words hinder  me , if they even fall on me 

And I don’t believe it is because your mean 

Or working for the enemy 

It’s simply that our roles are changing 

The convictions God has blessed me  with

 are different ( from yours) 

Through the gift of the Holy Spirit,  

The hope the joy the love the peace that flows inside of me 

No matter what trial I’m facing 

It comforts me

It strengthens me 

It encourages me

It supplies courage and bravery

And this is the truth really

We are different parts of the body 

Though our endgame is the same 

Our application of it is not 

But I believe if we still hold on

 to the word of God , hide it in our hearts , treasure it, breathe it drink it , sleep on it , wake up and do it again 

And endure joyfully, faithfully zealously our seasons ahead 

That when the heavens comes down 

We shall meet again 

Until then 

Be blessed 

Because blessed I be
