What a day and its only half of the day but since I am not sure what the rest of the day will unfold and I hadn’t shared this story from this weekend and it was on my heart , on Saturday when Alex and I visited the park by our house and gave food there was a young man who came from Texas , he said to pursue rapping , though he ended up doing art because San Diego has a big art scene he had said.

Then He asked me if I was a writer. I said yes , how did you know ?  He said he could tell by my eyes,  and I was like wow,  I didn’t even know he looked in my eyes.  He said he could tell by looking in my eyes I was a great writer, and I had passion. I was like wow. God is good. I love it when he reminds me of my talent. For so many years I kept it to myself. I would see it as a hobby. But I always knew it was more for me I have been writing songs since I was 8 years old and poetry since a late teen and stories since I can remember. Writing was the best way to get to know me , it was vulnerable to me. And so I kept it under lock or pad and key. But we can not hide from our purpose or our destiny we can prolong the process and make it harder, or enjoy the adventure and pray for peace to make it through valleys that will come.

I never thought to make a dime off of it , or to use it for a greater purpose. I was very selfish with it as one may say. Because I never thought I was any better than the rest, and I thought I had no chance to make an impact unless I was dead . But this young man reminded me , I had a duty to share my gift and I couldn’t hide it. Even he could see in my eyes, I had a story to tell. He said he could tell I was good with my words. It was amazing , this whole year has been amazing. As I have been doing my best to be faithfull to my gift. And while I do my best as a writer,   God has come through on His promise and covenant to me and has provided so many mission opportunities in this first quarter of the year and traveling opportunities. God is amazing and I challenge each and every one of you to be faithfull to the purpose God has given you to the assignment. To have hope, to do your best and let God do the rest, because He will do the rest and then some ! ♥
