Yeah

I got a smile on my face
I got light on my smile
Sparkles fall along the way
As I dance through these  trials

And though I feel pressure
I will not break
And though I struggle
In You I find strength

And this stronghold
I know I can’t overcome
Without praying and fasting
But they’ll never know my  God,
Yeah they’ll  never know
It’s just between you and
Me my Lord
They don’t got to know



Matthew 6:17 through 18 KJV
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.



So I annoint my head Most High God
And prepare my heart to serve You Lord
Wash thy face and go into the world
And they will not know I am fasting
But You will know my King
And give me strength and energy
Joy and peace ,
Even more than any physical bread I could eat
For Your spiritual bread and living water
Eternally sustains me

And this stronghold
I know I can’t overcome
Without praying and fasting
But they’ll never know my  God,
Yeah they’ll  never know
It’s just between you and
Me my Lord

Though openly praising
Discreetly praying

The work within me
The flesh I have been starving
The spirit I am surrendering
And reward me openly


The blessings on blessings
Perfect peace
Abundant joy
A voice
And the choice
to repent and have this liberty
To serve You my King
With a smile
And in that smile a light
From Christ

And I want to do it to the best of my ability
But the enemy is trying
To take a hold of me
But it is not as strong lately
Because to You I stay cleaving
My heart Your Spirit stays cleaning
Your Son in my heart is shining
A light

And sometimes it makes me smile
And sometimes it makes me cry
With this heart that’s contrite
And zealously wants to please You Lord
And this stronghold
I knew  I couldn’t overcome
Without praying and fasting
And anytime Your Spirit leads me
Let me be obedient
To do it
speedily and cheerfully

What’s just between You and me Lord
A secret between me and You Lord
And just having You stay with me
Not forsaking me
Giving me peace
Wisdom and understanding
And a reason to smile
Constantly
Is reward enough for me
Faithfully
